Sue Willard begins her second year of participation in the Memphis Farmer’s Market with a growing array of decorative steel art to offer patrons.  Along with her chief engineer and husband of 39 years, Ron, the two have been busy all winter working on several new designs for the home and garden inspired by animals and flowers. While most recently expressed using metals garnered from new and recycled sources and industrial welding tools, her love of art has been a lifelong pursuit including jewelry design, stained glass, cake and cookie decorating, and a wide variety of projects for family and friends using decorative painting techniques.  Her work has been inspired by the world around her in rural northeastern Arkansas where she and her husband raised two daughters and have resided for the last 33 years and her extensive travels throughout the United States and Europe.

In addition to her artistic pursuits, she is active in the real estate market in Forrest City and was recently appointed by the Governor of Arkansas to serve on the board of directors for the local technical school where she first learned to weld.
